Kids Food Basket Project

How can we be like Jesus?  By helping others!  The  Preschoolers and the Third Graders partnered to collect the food products needed to make Trail Mix snack bags for Kids Food Basket.  Kids Food Basket is a community-based volunteer organization that exists to attack childhood hunger in the Grand Rapids area by providing nutritionally at-risk children with a healthy sack supper.  The preschool families donated food items at Christmas.  The third graders made and sold Christmas cookies to earn money to purchase needed food items.  Today we were Jesus' hands and feet and together the preschoolers and the third graders assembled the trail mix and bagged it.  We completed 530 bags of trail mix.
