Scholarship Opportunities

The Calvin Christian School Board has a vision of providing Christian education for children of all Christian families. Therefore we try to make tuition as affordable as possible. Several opportunities for assistance are available to families seeking Christian education for their children.

Tuition Assistance

The Calvin Christian School Association awards a limited number of annual scholarships to families wishing to provide their children with a Christian education but are unable to afford full tuition. Families may apply for these scholarships in April and May for the following school year. Funds are often completely awarded by summer.

Tuition assistance is available to those who qualify and is based on various criteria including, but not limited to need, family income, church assistance, family situation, and other available resources. To explore if your families qualifies for this program, contact Bob Van Wieren, enrollment coordinator, at 532.2373 or bvanwieren@calvinchr.org.

To receive a tuition assistance application, please contact Nancy Steinbrecher at 532.2373 or nsteinbrecher@calvinchr.org .

Church Assistance

Many Christian Reformed churches in the Wyoming and the Grandville communities provide assistance to parents wishing to provide Christian education for their children.

Tuition Reducation Incentive Program (TRIP)

Many Calvin Christian families reduce their tuition by hundreds of dollars annually simply by shopping at businesses they normally patronize. To learn more about TRIP, click here .

Tuition

Is it expensive to send your children to Calvin Christian? Yes. But consider these statements from parents:

  • Calvin Christian provides an academic education that is second to none, and all this from a Christian prespective.
  • Schools are where we pass on our worldview. Calvin Christian passes on a Christ-centered worldview. What worldview is your school nurturing in your child?
  • The education your child receives at Calvin Christian teaches him to live for Jesus Christ every day of the rest of his life. That makes Calvin Christain's tuition a pretty good investment.
  • The education your child receives at Calvin Christian affects not only her life here and in the future, but also her eternity.
  • At Calvin Christian I'm placing the hand of my precious child into the hand of a caring, nurturing Christian adult. How do you put a price tag on that?
  • Sure it's expensive, but it's worth every penny.

Families pay tuition at Calvin Christian by the year, semester, month, or even the week. Many families pay through automatic debit payments. Our financial assistants will help your family explore the best way for you to meet the cost of a Christ-centered education for your child at Calvin Christian.
