The three blocks in the Calvin Christian School Education Foundation logo represent the three key components of Christian education -- the home, the church, and the school.

The Calvin Christian School Education Foundation was established in 1984 by friends of the Calvin Christian Schools.  Their goal was to insure the affordability of Christian education for all who see its benefits and desire such benefits for their child(ren).  The Foundation is a non-profit corporation designed to supplement the funding of Christian education on a perpetual, long-term basis at Calvin Christian Schools.  Eventually, the Foundation hopes to be able to provide 25 percent of the annual operating budget of Calvin schools.  To reach its goals, the Foundation promotes, accepts, and manages gifts of property, securities, life insurance, and cash made during supporters' lifetime and/or through their wills or estate plans.  All gifts to the Foundation are tax deductible.  Many gift options may also avoid capital gains or estate taxes.  The Foundation will work with you and your financial advisor or attorney to design a plan that meets your needs and your charitable goals.  For more information, or free planning services through the Barnabas Foundation, please contact Joan Staal, at 616.532.2373.

Gifts to the Foundation keep on giving because the Foundation holds all gifts in trust, prudently invests them, and annual contributes to the Calvin Christian School Association from the investment earnings.

A Board of Trustees administers the Foundation, oversees investments, promotes planned giving, plans events, and determines the amount of the annual contribution to the Association.  Trustees for 2010-11:  Jodi Berens, Jeanne Boersen, Dianne Elders, Chad Groggel, Roger Haan, Joan Staal, Bruce VanRyn, David Zondervan, Robert Zwiers.
