The Earth Science Mission

“For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities- his eternal power and divine nature-have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” Romans 1:20

During the course of Earth Science my number one goal is that your child come to know Jesus Christ. We will spend the year delving into God’s general revelation and seeing how God is using creation to call us to himself. We will study the vastness of God’s creation in space (Astronomy), the wonders of the world of water (Hydrology), the power and provisions of the weather (Meteorology) and the creativity of the Creator in the earth. (Geology) We spend nine weeks on each of these specified areas. We will use class lectures, laboratory experiments, project based learning and a variety of other teaching techniques to explore these areas. It is my desire and prayer that in the content of science, God becomes more real to your child, and I also pray that my life will be a reflection of Jesus Christ in how I interact with your child. I hope that they see that I enjoy teaching and working with them and desire to see them succeed. Please keep the staff here at CCMS in your prayers as we seek to allow God to work through us.
